Message to Haters

Message to Haters: You Can’t Keep Me Down

I started creating content out about five years ago. I was writing and making videos about funny stuff, vulnerable things about my life, my views on life.

I created this one video about loving the person in the mirror, truly loving who you are, flaws ‘n’ all.

And this guy wrote to me and said, “I muted the volume to your video so I didn’t have to hear you, but could look at you.”

I’ll never forget how that made me feel.

All my preparation of what to say in the video, how to word it so people will be inspired by it.

I prayed before I hit record and set intentions of connection and clear communication hoping at least one person would be moved by my video and it would make a difference in their life.

And then someone writes something like that.

My words didn’t matter to him. He didn’t give a shit. It was just about staring at the shell of me.

I pride myself on my words, my personal and authentic communication. I support others to do the same, and that was totally disregarded.

I didn’t know him. He was nobody to me, but it still really hurt.

NO MATTER WHAT WE DO, SOMEBODY is going to have SOMETHING to say, especially on social media when people can hide behind their screens.

Did I stop making videos or putting myself out there? Hell no.

Do people always agree with me or like what I have to say? Um, no.

Will I continue to share my heart with the world. Absolutely.

Can you relate to this at all?

I’d love to hear.
