The wounds don’t just go away… unfortunately.
We go on living our lives and brushing things under the carpet like, I’m good. I’m fine. I’m over it…..
Doesn’t work that way.
Our wounds pop their little heads up as insecurities throughout our life and in our relationships.
It affects the way we communicate and whether or not we speak and act confidently.
As hard as it is, you need to face it head on, so you can heal and let it go.
Back it up.
The first thing I need you to do is acknowledge the wounds are there.
That’s the first and most crucial step.
You may feel tightness in your chest or a soreness in your heart when you take it on. That’s normal.
When you’ve identified these wounds, don’t make yourself wrong for them.
There’s no right or wrong here…
Give yourself credit. It takes courage to identify these hurts that we’ve lived with for so long!
And these wounds, these pains DO NOT DEFINE YOU. They are NOT part of your identity…
Work to make the distinction between who you are and something that happened in your life.
Who you are is a beautiful, amazing, radiant soul, not some unfortunate event that happened.
Work to turn your pain into your power and serve others who have gone through the same.
What is a pain you can turn into your power.
I’d love to hear from you on this email.
